When starting to write your beginning paragraph and you are having problems thinking of a good introduction to lead into your essay, writing three starting paragraphs is a good idea. This will help get you started and allow you to choose the best option for your essay.
For example:

1.  A man walks down the street wearing a suit.  Most people when they see him would think that he would be some business man because of the type of clothes he is wearing.  But what does his clothes say about his personality? There are many different things that go behind what he is wearing.  What relationship is shown between what a person wears and their personality or mentality?
2. What is it about a person's unique style that their clothes defines who they are? Could it be that subconsciously a person picks out clothes that resemble them as a person? Although some people cannot help what they wear whether it be because of their economic or global status.  But what does that say about people who cannot afford clothes like people in third world countries? What relationship is shown between what a person wears and their personality or mentality?
3. Many times I have been given the compliment, "I like your style, its so unique, no one else has it!".  I like to choose things that are older styled or clothes that are in style today.  Most of what I buy is because of my economic level which is very low compared to many people.  I buy most of clothes from the thrift shop which fits not only my economic level but also my style.  Most people would say that they can't wear some of the things I do because they are not bold enough or it would not look right on them. Does that mean that I have a bold personality? What relationship is shown between what a person wears and their personality or mentality?

After you write this have on of your friends look at them and choose the one they think is written the best.  Then once you do this choose they one that you think is best ask them what they predict about your paper and guess the question you are trying to make or the thesis.  My friends could guess that I would be talking about personalities in clothing.
