To make your thesis more focused the best way is to revise your inquiry question to one that has value, interpretation, a hypothesis, or relationship.  Take for example my old thesis revised to show relationship:

• What does a person's clothing style say about their personality?
• Revised: What relationship is shown between what a person wears and their personality or mentality

By revising your thesis, this it will make finding information and writing much easier.
